Liquid screeds are a fast track way of covering large floor areas with a perfectly level smooth floor.Jones plastering are operating throughout Swansea and south and West Wales installing Liquid screeds. We are approved by Lafarge Gyvlon, Tarmac truflo and Cemex supaflo to lay their ready mixed screeds.
Jones plastering have invested heavily in the correct screed pump and laser levels with all the equipment required to lay a perfectly level floor screed.
Gyvlon type Liquid floor screeds can be layed in a minimum 25mm thickness to existing floors or 300mm if isolated by a PVC membrane. The floor can be layed at a thickness of 40mm over insulation and 45 mm over under floor heating pipes. The floor can be made up with EPS polystyrene if the thickness exceeds the min 40mm and by doing this the client can make a saving. EPS is always cheaper than a screed.
Drying out times for the screed is 1mm a day which is the same as traditional sand and cement screeds. The floors are extremely hard wearing and best layed as soon as the building is watertight.
Up to 2000m2 can be layed in a day using a liquid screed system and the floor can be walked on in24 hrs.
Jones plastering also specialise in the renovating of existing floors. We use a system that can be applied from 1mm up to any depth required to make a floor level. There is no need to alter the existing floor because we can go straight over it and leave a perfectly level floor that can be walked on in 2 hours.
Coloured screeds are also becoming popular with customers wanting a screed that can be walked on in everyday use and require no further covering or decoration. The coloured floors are available in a choice of colours including metallic effect and stone effect.
